About me

Hi, I’m Mary,

Dedicated Educator for over 20 years. Creative Storyteller, as illustrated in my book, “Distance Too Far: A Young Girl’s Spiritual Journey,” to Empower, Encourage, and Engage women to succeed through adversity.
Creating lessons and activities for students was a powerful way of learning copywriting. Transforming through my career from Loans in Banking, Sales, and Service in Insurance, Software Trainer in the Court System, and Teacher to Writer, allowed me the opportunity to produce content for employers and clients. There I provided direct response emails, newsletter articles, sales proposals, HR job descriptions, procedure manuals, work instructions, and more.
My new novelette, Distance Too Far A Young Girl’s Spiritual Journey is a sample of the quality of writing that will be provided to your organization.
At A Prymary View, our number one goal is to listen and understand your message then redefine it in a way that creates change and inspiration in the readers mind to take action. To help them do this let’s get started.

How Far Will You Go In Your Quest To Be Successful

A young adult novel of a teenage girl’s passage into adulthood as she experiences the conflict between family and faith.

In the summer of her sophomore year of high school Beth begins to feel that she has missed out on the activities and friendships that other teenagers her age have experienced. As an only child she has been raised by her mother and grandmother who are devoutly religious. Beth’s only outlet is going to church activities. Her mother has tried to protect her from sinful outside forces because of her own heart break of having a child out of wedlock. Beth decides this summer will begin a new chapter in her life. She meets a young man and they fall in love and decide to get married. Her mother is not going to allow this to happen and thus the struggle begins. Beth starts a journey to live life with all its complexities which transforms her into a woman that in the end would make a mother proud.

Didn’t want to put the book down! This book speaks so much to the journey in all our lives. Waiting on a part 2!

“Distance Too Far” is Ms. Pryor’s first foray into the literary world of narrative fiction for (YA) young adult readers and she definitely hits the mark with this title. While her style has a note of pedantry which seems to indicate to me that this work is actually a memoir in disguise, it conducts the reader back through time, and fuels the work with a nostalgia for a time long past.

Captures the hope and strength in the face of adversity that so many young women manifest, but which often seems to go unnoticed or taken for granted by the rest of society. Realistic, unblinking characterizations supported by themes of faith and selfless love. A beautiful, believable story.
